How To Find Your Wedding Vendors
Whether you’re in the thick of the planning season or just getting started planning your big day, you might be feeling a little lost. Don’t panic! Being engaged can be a crazy time. However, I wanted to share tips on choosing the right wedding vendors + some key things to keep in mind. Trust me, I’ve learned a lot along the way in the vendor search with my clients.
Find A Wedding Planner
Planning a wedding can be overwhelming but it doesn’t have to be, find a wedding planner that you connect with, one whose style is similar to yours, and you enjoy… a lot! You’ll be spending a lot of time with this person! So it’s important that you guys connect well and get along! Plus, it’s a one-stop shop for getting recommendations for some of the best vendors around! A wedding planner will keep you on track through the entire planning process (and have a coveted emergency kit for the day of).

Decide What’s Important
Decide what’s most important to you so you can work on a budget and finding the right vendors! Is it the location, having a large or small wedding, flowers, photography, videography, music, food, or maybe a combination of those? Once you know what’s most important, you can allocate your budget properly!
Find Wedding Vendors You Love
With all your vendors, find ones that you love! If you admire someone’s work or they have your style, book them right away! It’s important to find vendors that fit your style and you and your fiancé’s personality. It makes the planning process smoother and much more enjoyable for everyone involved!

Don’t Ask For Discounts – Respect the Work!
Don’t ask your vendors for discounts on the spot. Respect their work + their time and see if there is something they offer within your budget or a custom package that they can offer, if not, you may need to find someone else with your style and that offers packages within your budget!
Communication
Make sure your vendors are good at communication (timely responses, kind emails/phone calls, etc.) One of the most frustrating aspects can be slow responses and poor communication. It often tells a lot about their business. You’ll be working closely with your vendors so keep communication lines open and be honest on what you want, that way everyone stays on the same page and knows exactly how the day will pan out! The planning process is the time to express your opinions, what you like and don’t like and how you feel. Once the wedding day comes, it’s a little too late to change anything, so don’t be afraid to speak up. It’s your wedding day after all! The Best Day Ever!

Celebrate as much as you can, don’t stress about the small things, let loved ones enjoy the season with you and if you pick the right vendors, it’ll be an easy + fun process. Trust me! Because at the end of all the planning, you get to marry your best friend + everything comes together just as you hoped. Now let the planning begin or continue on!
