Celebrating Love Under A  Rainbow

Camille + Marc’s desert wedding this past March in Ojai was out of a movie! At the start of the day, it was a little overcast but, Camille + Marc were the calmest bride and groom ever, and didn’t let the clouds bother them. The ceremony began and by the time Camille + Marc gave their vows, the clouds parted and beautiful, warm rays of sun shined down. But I swear, that was just the start. Once the reception started, the most incredible double rainbow appeared! It was like we had ordered the rainbow to appear + it was the most perfect backdrop for guests to enjoy dinner. (It was especially lucky considering this wedding was on St. Patrick’s Day!)

Desert Decor

Having a desert wedding opens up the opportunity for a variety of décor! We decided to keep things as close to the desert backdrop as possible, mixing wooden and industrial elements. For the ceremony space, we kept things simple with wooden chairs adorned with stunning bright floral arrangements with a variety of desert flowers. At the end of the aisle was an oriental rug for Camille + Marc to stand facing their guests, while the officiant stood to the side + their guests tossed flower petals in the air to celebrate as the couple walked down the aisle for the first time together as husband + wife. We later repurposed the oriental rug under the sweetheart table, and I love how it added a pop of color. For the reception tables, we used metallic potted succulents with wooden table signs + we even used a fun + colorful wooden bar that was on the property. It paired with everything so well!

Camille + Marc wanted to keep things natural and simple for their guests. The focus was to celebrate love with all of their friends and family + I think we achieved just that! Congrats Camille + Marc on your magical day + here’s to many more just like it!
