A Music Festival Themed Wedding at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe

My gift is my song and this one’s for you

I am so excited to share this music festival themed wedding of Melina + Steve from this spring! It was, by far, one of the most fun weddings I have ever been a part of. Melina + Steve are such a playful and fun loving couple, I think I saw them smiling ear to ear all day long . They truly are best friends, as well as partners, and it was so inspiring to watch them together. I had the honor of working with them for a year and a half and so enjoyed planning their big day with them throughout the process.

Because music is such a big part of Melina + Steve’s relationship, they wanted to incorporate as many references as possible for their wedding. As soon as guests entered, they were greeted with a collection of vintage records to sign in lieu of a guest book. Melina + Steve also used an empty guitar case as their card box. To further the musical festival theme, every table at the reception was named a different music venue or festival instead of a number. My favorite was the “main stage” sign made for their sweetheart table. To help make all the musical festival references pop, we kept the flowers to simple blush and red tones with long green garlands everywhere. (It reminded me of this music festival themed wedding I planned at Triunfo Creek a couple of years ago).

The highlight of the night was when Steve serenaded Melina with a guitar in front of all their wedding guests. Steve performed a few more songs with his band to help kick off the dance party and everyone was loving it! They even ended the night with silent disco. If you haven’t tried it before, you must! It’s so much fun and helps you to keep the party going if your venue has sound ordinances.

I’m so happy for these two and really miss planning with them but I’m so happy to have made new friends and can cheer them on in their adventures as a married couple. Congrats Melina + Steve on your show stopping wedding!
