Bring On The Tropical Vibes

Hey friends! With the chilly weather fully entering SoCal, I’ve been reminiscing to this tropical wedding from earlier this year. Not only was this a fresh + fun wedding, but it was also very near to my heart. Because it was for my dear friends, Rachel + Daniel! I’m so excited for these two to tie the knot and grateful they allowed me to be a big part of the day!
How To Do A Tropical Wedding Properly
This wedding is a great example of how you can create an impact in design with just a few details. The florals were the showstoppers; expertly created by one of my favorite florists, Laura of Poppyhill Flowers. Rachel wanted it to feel like a tropical island destination wedding, so we leaned on brightly colored arrangements composed of monstera leaves, bird of paradise, hibiscus + anthurium flowers among others. (If you’re curious how to nail the perfect floral look, see this blog post where we chatted with a few of our favorite florists). Additionally, the wedding party wore coordinating brightly colored attire. However, in order to ensure those bold design choices didn’t become overwhelming, we kept the rest of the décor neutral with clean, modern lines. In the end, it was the perfect balance + a beautiful day.
Huge congrats to Rachel + Daniel! Helping my friends take this huge step in life is one of the things that makes me so grateful for this career.
