Hey there, friends! I’ve teased this news before but, I’m excited to announce I have officially launched my latest venture: Just Another Biz Podcast. You may recall my previous podcast, The Local Table, where I chatted with business owners across a variety of expertise. Creating that podcast was a long-term goal of mine and I couldn’t be prouder of it! 

However, I wanted to find a way to continue the conversation I started with The Local Table but with an additional viewpoint. So I approached my good friend and fellow wedding planner, Gabby Pinkerton, about doing a joint podcast, I knew it was the prefect transition. And that is how Just Another Biz Podcast was born! 

What is “Just Another Biz”?

Despite what the name implies, we wanted this podcast to be anything other than “just another business podcast”. We wanted this platform to tackle non-traditional business topics in additional to sharing our advice + journey through entrepreneurship. We’ll have relatable guests join us from all different industries and expertise discussing their own struggles and achievements. Because we truly believe there is enough room at the table for everyone, no matter what stage of business you’re in, you can learn something here. And we’re not about gatekeeping secrets!

Gabby Pinkerton and Kari Smith of Just Another Biz Podcast

Gabby Pinkerton started ‘Cause We Can Events after spending time in the non-profit world. Gabby’s clientele includes outdoorsy, fun-loving couples who want an adventurous (sometimes destination) wedding. Originally from Canada, Gabby moved to California to start her business, before settling in Nashville. 

As for me, I also started was in the non-profit world before working as a photographer and starting Feathered Arrow Studio. My clients are couples who want an epic party, love bold colorful designs and aren’t afraid to go against tradition. Originally from Iowa, I currently live in Southern California with my husband and dog. 

Gabby and I have been wedding planners and entrepreneurs for 10 years now. We bonded over our shared journey to becoming wedding planners and we’re excited to share with you all the highs and lows of owning our own businesses.
