The Malibu Wedding Venue

I love working with clients who are adventurous with their wedding decor. Especially when they want to mix two styles together! This was the case for Jan + Daniel for their rustic and elegant wedding in the Redwood Room at Calamigos Ranch. Calamigos Ranch is one of my favorite venues to work at because although the venue is already stunning, it still allows room for personalized touches from the couple to give the wedding an intimate feel.

Perfectly blending rustic and elegant details

To play off the Malibu winery feel, Jan + Daniel wanted a rustic and elegant vibe to their wedding. They incorporated items such as vintage phones and keys, but balanced it all with soft touches like using baby’s breath in the bouquets. To give an overall romantic feel, we used soft blush tones to bring in pops of color to the décor. Additionally, silver mercury votives adding soft ambience to every reception table. I especially loved the water-colored table numbers with the wine cork holders! A lot of their decor had incredible, handcrafted calligraphy, including personalized drawings of the bride and groom! How fun is that?

This wedding was such a blast! And the reception turned into an epic dance-off by their guests! (You have to check out these photos to see how insanely good this dance battle became!)
