My Top 5 Wedding Venues in Southern California
If you are recently engaged and looking for your venue but unsure where to start, I have the list for you! It can be overwhelming but I wanted to share my top 5 favorite wedding venues in Southern California at the moment. There are so many out there that I love but I wanted to share some of my favorites and tell you why! A great source for finding a venue is the Venue Report or hiring a wedding planner. (I may be bias on that last one but both are full of great information).
Triunfo Creek Vineyards
Triunfo Creek Vineyards has the cutest farmhouse with stunning backdrops of a vineyard surrounding you. You can marry under a big tree and dine under the stars with your loved ones. The best part about this venue, is you can choose all your vendors and design your wedding from a blank space. It’s such a fun process being able to dream up a vision with clients and make it their own. Another perk of Triunfo is that the caterers and rentals on their mandatory list are incredible and easy to work with. If you want a dreamy wedding under the stars next to a vineyard, but still close to LA, this is a great option.

Calamigos Ranch
- Where to even begin with this place! I’ve worked at Calamigos for the past 4 years and it keeps getting better. They have multiple locations on site to choose from depending on your guest count and vibe you’re looking for. One location has a ferris wheel, the other has a giant tree in the middle of the venue with all glass windows and another has a patio where all your guests can dine under the stars. The property is expansive so your wedding is completely private, and each location so beautiful that you can bring in as little or as much decor as you want. Another perk about Calamigos is their on-site restaurant for rehearsal dinners and catering. There is even a hotel on site so you can stay the night before and on your wedding night. Everything is all in house (with the option of bringing in rentals) to make it that much easier! Lastly, they have a sister property in Santa Monica near the beach called, The Victorian. This is a great spot in the heart of Santa Monica.

The Fig House
This spot in LA has an eclectic feel and full of bright colors. It’s a smaller space which makes it easy for guests to get around and to not feel too big. It has the option of being indoor and outdoor which is great in case of unpredictable weather. They also have in house catering by Room Forty (which is delicious) and in house rentals which makes planning your big day here super easy and the vibe is really fun!

The Natural History Museum
What’s better than having elephants in the background of your ceremony photos and a dinosaur as your backdrop during cocktail hour?! This place is super unique but provides a classy and fun vibe to have a killer wedding that your guests will rave about. This place is great because you can really make it your own and design the space however you want. They also allow you to bring in your own vendors and the whole museum is yours for the night.

The Butterfly Lane Estate in Montecito
This beautiful property is so amazing! It’s a private estate in Montecito that is beautiful and lush and the photos here are magical because you’re also a block away from the ocean. Again, this is a great spot to bring in your own vendors and bring your vision to life. If you’re looking for that garden feeling and a wedding that’s all outdoors near the ocean, this is for you!
