Tying the knot at a historic landmark in Vista
Inspired by a unique vintage style, it was fitting that Ana and Michael tied the knot at the historic landmark of Rancho Buena Vista Adobe. Ana’s soft blush art-deco style dress complimented the bridesmaids’ dresses and the rest of the décor. For the centerpieces, we decorated each table with stacks of old, beautiful books and added bud vases with a variety of white, pink, and orange flowers. I love that Ana embraced unique florals, like the distinct protea, to the tablescapes and even her bouquet!
One of my favorite parts of this wedding was how Ana and Michael were able to incorporate Celtic traditions into the celebration. During the ceremony, Ana and Michael tied their hands together while they cited their vows (also known as handfasting) and during the reception, Ana and Michael drank scotch out of a two handled cup called a quaich to symbolize their trust. Ana was able to incorporate some of her Brazilian heritage into bringing in some traditional appetizers to serve and they were most definitely a hit!
Ana and Michael were such a sweet couple to work with and their fun loving relationship was evident by the laughs shared by friends and family the whole night! Congrats Ana and Michael on your big day!
