East Coast Meets West Coast Wedding at Calamigos Ranch

With the recent fires that affected the west coast, I wanted to share an East Coast meets West Coast wedding at one of my favorite venues, Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. The community in Malibu was particularly affected by the fires in Southern California but thankfully, Calamigos is still standing strong. I couldn’t be more grateful that this beautiful venue and their amazing staff are all okay! Special thank you to all our firefighters and first responders.

A piece of Paris in Malibu

Alexis + Eric, who came from the East Coast with most of their family, wanted to immerse guests in the California life. Since Eric is also French, they incorporated nods to Paris. It was the ultimate east coast meets west coast wedding. The overall design was a bit of glam mixed in with bohemian California vibes and touches from Paris. One of the best installations we did was to re-create the Paris love-lock bridge as the seating chart for guests to find their tables. Each lock had the guests’ names attached and some of the locks had important dates from their relationship inscribed right onto them. The whole day was insanely beautiful! The floral arrangements alone made you feel like you were walking in a dream. Large collections of pampas grass down the aisle and table centerpieces literally dripping with orchids. Alexis + Eric treated their guests to a gorgeous cake and included a cotton candy cart, which was a special treat for the little ones. The entire event was nothing short of stunning. Alexis + Eric and their families were some of the kindest people I’ve ever met and I feel honored to have taken part in their special day!
