A Romantic Fall Wedding with a Surprising New Floral Trend

This past November, the fires in California affected so many homes and businesses including beloved wedding venues. In fact, my clients, Carly + Ryan, were originally getting married in Malibu until the fires displaced them one week before their big day. Thankfully, we found the perfect place to relocate their romantic fall wedding with the help of our friends at Maravilla Gardens. Thanks to a rockstar vendor team, we were able to quickly adjust and give Carly + Ryan their dream wedding in a matter of days. You have to see the stunning photos and wedding video below!

Wedding Floral Trend Alert

Luxurious flower arrangements are a key element to a romantic wedding. So, it only made sense that we focused a lot of the design on the florals. With this in mind, Laura of Poppyhill Flowers designed one of my new favorite romantic fall wedding trends by using magnolia leaves. This dark greenery has an orange tone to the underside of the leaf, which is a surprising addition. Then we paired the magnolia leaves with white and beige flowers and it perfectly fit the southern-charm theme Carly wanted. The rest of the event was light and airy with touches of gold throughout. Lastly, the bridesmaids wore jewel toned dresses to fit with the fall season.

This wedding was a reminder of why I love my job so much. Even with the stress of relocating last minute, the most important part of the day was celebrating of Carly + Ryan and their love. Also, it was a reminder to be so thankful for this life and the things that truly matter most. Thanks to the incredible vendor team and a huge congrats to Carly + Ryan!
