A Black-Tie Wedding In The Hills of Malibu
Friends, if you thought Niki + Amir’s engagement photos were jaw dropping, just wait until you see their black-tie wedding! Their wedding was full of ultra-glamorous details that will make you want to pin their entire album.
To remain true to a classic event we kept the color palette simple with black, white with gold. I love colorful weddings but there is something deeply impactful about this color scheme. (For more B&W inspiration check out this wedding). Niki’s bridesmaids wore mix matched gold dresses while the groomsmen all sported black suits. Amir wore a fashionable white suit with black bow tie which is so chic!
Keeping true to their Persian roots was extremely important to Niki + Amir. Their ceremony was inspired by a sofreh aghd, where they sat at a table adorned with a mirror, candlesticks and other elements that signify this new chapter in life together. Niki + Amir also participated in a honey ceremony where they fed honey to one another to symbolize the sweetness in their lives. As a wedding planner, nothing makes me happier than seeing my clients have their dream weddings + I love learning about the different ceremonial traditions of so many cultures.
