Hello, friends! Is it me or is this summer is flying by? If you’re looking for some summery wedding color inspiration, I wanted to this Malibu wedding from last year. It features some of the cutest quirky pop-culture details and just so happens to be the wedding for my dear friends, Jess + Ben. I love when my friends get married and entrust me with their big day. It’s the ultimate honor! This time, I was able to oversee the planning, then let my team handle the day while I attended as a guest (look closely, you might catch me in a photo!)

Making Your Wedding Day A Reflection Of YOU

Probably the number one thing I tell my clients is that your wedding day should be a reflection of YOU as a couple! It can be difficult to manage everyone’s opinions but ultimately, this day is about celebrating what made you + your partner fall in love. When your décor showcases that, I promise you guests will appreciate it! For example, my wonderfully talented friend, Jess, did all of her own floral arrangements and I’m in awe with how they turned out! She used dried florals + citrus, as well as cork and wooden flowers making it not only extremely unique but also budget-friendly. Additionally, instead of table numbers, Jess + Ben used Pop Funko figurines to mark their tables. An escort board with photos of each figurine allowed guests to easily find their seat and was a great conversation starter. We were all guessing the movie or tv show characters and talking about favorite moments. I loved this element so much! Lastly, guests were gifted with tiki mugs to fill with their drink of choice throughout the night, then they were able to take them home. (Similar to this backyard wedding with a tiki bar!) All of these were fun, quirky and 100% Jess + Ben!
