5 Easy Ways You Can Support A Small Business Right Now

Hello, friends! No matter where you live, it’s no secret that Covid-19 has absolutely rocked all of our worlds. Here in California, we are 40+ days under our Safer At Home orders. We are all hoping for things to settle down quickly, the reality is that may not be a possibility. Everyone has been affected, but small businesses have been hit especially hard. For my event business specifically, all my spring + summer weddings have been rescheduled to later dates. However, I’m extremely grateful for my couples for being understanding during this time, but it’s disappointing to postpone the celebration. So while we continue to social distance, I’m sharing ways that you can help support a small business during Covid-19.

Place An Order

Flower delivery to support a small business

If the small business is a restaurant with a delivery service, or even a business with a shop that can still ship products, continue to place your orders! It’s incredible the amount of businesses that have pivoted their services to offer contact-free delivery for products. Florists come to mind; to brighten your day, order a custom flower arrangement delivered to your doorstep! (Keep in mind; delivery times will vary, so please be patient with your order).

Buy A Gift Card

If you don’t have an immediate need for a product or service, but are planning for when we are all free, buy a gift card. You can buy yourself one or for a loved one. This way, the small business owner will have the profit to help get through the remainder of quarantine, and can promise you a great product or service in the future. I’m extremely excited to announce that Feathered Arrow is now offering gift cards for our many services! For my photography services, we are offering a 30 minute photography session, as well as an one hour photography session. I will also be offering gift cards for my wedding planning services! If you know someone planning their wedding during these crazy times, gift them peace of mind by hiring a wedding planner. Email me at Kari@featheredarrowevents.com to get a gift card for wedding planning services.

Support A Small Business On Social Media

laptop and phone, social media, support a small business

A great way to help support a small business, is to give your favorite small businesses a tag and/or comment on any social media platform. This is an easy, FREE way to quickly show your favorite businesses some love. Not only does this help with their algorithm, it’s also just nice to connect! Remember, small businesses are people too and we’re going through all of this with you. It’s nice to know we haven’t been forgotten.

Write Them A Review

Writing a review is another quick, easy and free way to support a small business right now. If you’ve ever purchased a product or service, (and I mean, who hasn’t?) take some time to write a nice review for them! It’ll help keep them ranking for when this time passes, and they’re back in business. If you’re a former client of mine and would like to write some thoughts on your wedding or photography session with me, you can do so on Yelp or Google!

Refer Someone

I know times are tough for everyone, but one thing that is incredibly helpful to a small business, is to know there are clients once this is over. By referring someone to a product or service from a small business, you’re helping to keep that business thriving. As for Feathered Arrow Events, we are still open and taking on clients for their future weddings and events. Send us any of your friends or family members that are engaged, and we can start the planning process together! Contact us on our homepage here!

I hope everyone is staying safe + healthy out there. Remember, we are all in this together, friends!
