A Whimsical Wedding With A Touch of Bohemia
Sydney + Rex’s wedding at Triunfo Creek Vineyards so beautiful and so much fun! Triunfo Creek has been one of our favorite wedding spots for years now and it’s easy to see why. We’ve had so many great, colorful weddings at Triunfo Creek Vineyards, like this vibrant celebration and this bright party to name a few. I’m so excited to share Sydney + Rex’s whimsical wedding, which was truly special.
Sydney + Rex wanted to keep their wedding colorful, casual and fun – my speciality! For the ceremony, Shindig Chic created a beautiful arch, but instead of focusing only on flowers, we designed a stunning installation with fabric and fun garlands in various shades of pink, red, orange and yellow. We later repurposed this piece behind the sweetheart table at reception, giving their table a pop of “wow!”. We used the same color palate in all the floral centerpieces and signage. For reception, we added blue napkins to match the bridesmaids and groomsmen, and added a little more dimension. In between dancing under a tent of lights, guests were able to get their portraits painted by artists. I love this as a favor for guests to take home at the end of the night because it’s so personal and unique!
The Day After
I’m sure you’ve heard of the “trash the dress” trend, but what I love even more is the day-after photo session Sydney + Rex did. Sydney wore her wedding dress again, (because honestly, who doesn’t want to wear their dress over and over again?) and Rex wore jeans and a casual button down. It was just the two of them along the beach of Malibu where they climbed the cliff side and splashed in the ocean. It was a beautiful moment for them to reflect on the prior evening and begin their life together as a married couple. And the photos are INCREDIBLE.
