An Intimate Micro Wedding In A Hidden Venue
Hey friends! I’m so excited to share with you this micro wedding of Kumi + Justin at the 1909. The 1909 is quickly becoming a favorite venue of mine because it truly feels like you’ve completely escaped the hustle of the city. (See another stunning 1909 wedding here). And with just under 60 guests, the secluded venue only enhanced the magic of this smaller, intimate wedding.
Repurposing Florals
A big piece of advice I give my clients looking to reduce costs, is to find ways to repurpose your florals! During the ceremony, Kumi + Justin were married with a spectacular gold, circular arch behind them. The Little Branch used a mix of soft pink and white flowers to give it a pop of color. In addition, pieces of pampas grass dyed pink and added to give the whole element dimension. (Check out the photos, it’s so beautiful!) So naturally, we wanted this piece to be featured beyond just the ceremony. We repurposed the arch to be the backdrop behind the sweetheart table at reception and it really made an impact!
With cake and cookies from the ever so delicious Milkbar, guests were energized to dance the night away!
Congrats Kumi + Justin on your happily ever after! For more micro-wedding inspiration, be sure to check out this post. And if you’re ready to start planning your own dreamy micro wedding, contact me on my homepage here and let’s chat!
