A Sea Inspired Coastal Wedding Styled Shoot in Manhattan Beach

There are a lot of great things about living on the West Coast. In California we have large cities, small farming communities, large forests, the desert, and mountains all within a quick drive. But my favorite thing about living in California is the beach! I actually live on the “west side” (as it’s referred to here) just so I can be close to the coast. There is something so romantic and freeing about being close to the sea. The sound of the waves, the salty air…it’s a whole new world. We definitely captured this feeling and more with this beautiful coastal wedding styled shoot at the Westdrift located in Manhattan Beach! My PR company Be Inspired PR asked me to collaborate and design with them and I had such a good time!

Ocean Blues

When you think of a coastal wedding, you might think of yellow sand and teal seashells however, I wanted to sophisticate and romanticize the typical “beach wedding” vibe. We leaned on different tones of earthy blues to give the feel of the waves. Additionally, we had a message-in-a bottle style invitation suite and smooth sea stones with stunning calligraphy as guest place cards. Not only were these elements a nod to the coast, but it also serves as great guest favors! We also wanted this to have the feeling of an intimate ceremony and reception and how you can make it look so beautiful even when it’s small! This is perfect inspiration for this time of COVID and how clients are adapting.
