3 Reasons Why You Should Book An Engagement Photo Session

Recently, I was looking through some engagement photos for my clients Kaitlin + Jean-Eric (taken by the incredible team at Cheers Babe Photo), and it made me think of how I wish all of my clients would take engagement photos! They’re so fun to have in anticipation of the big day. So I wanted to list the top 3 reasons why I think engagement photos are so important.
Get Comfortable In Front Of The Camera
Even if you’re an influencer, chances are you might be a touch camera shy…or really camera shy. Having an engagement photo session will help you ease into the idea of having an entire day of your life photographed. Your photographer can help you feel comfortable and even suggest a few poses or angles that are most flattering to you.
Get To Know Your Photographer(s)
This is one of the best reasons to have an engagement photo session! Choosing your wedding photographer is a huge deal. You want a chance to work with them before the big day so you get a sense of how they work. Your photographer will also have a ton of tips and tricks for you. For example, did you know there’s a correct way to hold a bouquet?
Document This Special Time
Marriage is wonderful; but there’s equally something magical about the time when you’re engaged. Having engagement photos taken documents this moment for you to look fondly back on. Yes, of course, you’ll also have your wedding album and videos but I think celebrating your engagement is just as important! Not to mention, engagement photos also make great gifts, cards or our favorite, Save The Dates. If you need some Save The Dates, just head to https://www.basicinvite.com/!
