Saying Adieu To The Summer Season With A Bright Dinner Party

I know my favorite season is around the corner and it’s only a matter of time before things start to (finally) cool off. However, I have to say that this past summer has been so amazing! Between the couples we celebrated, being newly married myself and the trips I was able to take, this summer was one to remember! I couldn’t have done it without all of my amazing vendor-friends (aka friendors) and I wanted to host an End of Summer Soiree to thank all of behind-the-scene crew who help make every wedding + event possible.

I started by putting together some of my favorite design elements to create a beautiful tablescape. Using fresh summer blooms courtesy of Inessa Nichols Design, bright green glassware, and floral inspired linens, I wanted to bring the outdoors indoors. The ultimate swoon moment for me are open flame taper candles on a dinner table. We ate incredible food thanks to LA Roots Catering, danced the night away to the sounds of Dart Collective, and shared our gratitude for this season, career path and friendship.

Building A Community

As a wedding planner, I know first-hand that it takes a village to put together an event. It’s so important to know how to communicate with a team of people; because at an event, there are a million things to do in order to make the day run smoothly. It’s important to remember, everyone’s goal is ensuring couples have a blast at their party. And truthfully, it’s a lot of work! Which is why I wanted to host an evening with some friendors I’ve made over the years to show them that I appreciate all of their hard work. I wouldn’t be the business woman I am today without all of their help + support! We lookout for one another, lift each other up and are everyone’s cheerleader. When you meet incredibly talented people, you want to help them share their vision + creativity with the world. And I think that’s what makes this community so special.
