A Scenic Micro Wedding Overlooking The Malibu Hills
As with many people, when Covid-19 hit, it drastically changed everything. That’s what happened with my clients, Jourdan + Mike and their original wedding plans. Once it became clear their larger wedding wasn’t a possibility this year, Jourdan + Mike decided to postpone their bigger party to next year. Instead, they exchanged vows with a a micro wedding at the stunning Cielo Farms.
A Smaller Wedding Does Not Mean Smaller Celebration
Jourdan + Mike were such a fun couple to work with! When they weren’t happily kissing, they were making one another laugh. For example, I’ve never had a bride run towards her groom during the first look and the first thing she does is high five him. I mean, you know it’s going to be a good evening when the cake topper reads “Boom! Married”. Jourdan + Mike are the perfect example that proves love is not cancelled. Plans may change but with your loved ones by your side, you can conquer anything. I’m so grateful for my couples who despite feeling disappointed with the changes, know it’s a small bump on the long road of love.
One of my favorite design details of Jourdan + Mike’s wedding was the incredible floral installments created by Inessa Nichols Design. I mean, this woman is a floral genius! (Need more proof? Check out these amazing designs she created here and here). Inessa truly knows how to combine unique colors and textures for a jaw-dropping floral moment. If you look closely at the ceremony arch and bouquet for Jourdan, you can see there are some unique elements. That’s right – we incorporated ears of corn! You may not think corn is a very romantic vegetable, but it was the perfect addition to these arrangements that gave it an organic, fall festive feel.
Congrats Jourdan + Mike on your lifetime of love and laughter! And If you’re ready to plan your micro wedding, I have the right packages just for you! Contact me on my homepage here and let’s start planning!
* To ensure safety of guests and staff, masks were worn. Jourdan + Mike had hand sanitizer available as guest favors! They turned out so great and are a gift your guests will absolutely use.
