Getting Married With A Backyard Ceremony At Home
Hey friends! Recently, I’ve been loving the rejuvenation of the smaller, intimate celebrations with elopements, micro weddings and backyard wedding ceremonies. There’s something so special and unique about these experiences for couples and their families! For Tanya + Lucas, a backyard ceremony at home was just the ticket for them and their 10 guests. They decided to hold off on a bigger summer wedding until 2022, so that everyone could party together safely!
Small Weddings With Big Design Impact
You don’t need to have a huge space t make an impact when planning a backyard ceremony. A small water fountain served as the perfect backdrop for Tanya + Lucas to exchange vows, while a family member officiated. After the “I Dos”, everyone sat at a large family table under a pergola. Inessa Nichols knocked it out of the park (as she does every time!) using pink and purple tones throughout the floral design, giving everything dreamy, almost iridescent vibes. She mixed dried florals with large blooms and draping orchids. We also paired pale pink glassware and napkins to tie the tableware into the centerpieces. With a small guest list, there’s no need for a full seating chart, but guests found their seats with an acrylic place card. Everything felt so soft + romantic!
Congrats Tanya + Lucas on your happily ever after! If you’re ready to say “I Do” but need help planning a backyard wedding, contact me on my homepage here and let’s chat!
