The Strangest Year Ever…
I was reminded last December that I have officially been in business for 6 years! Feathered Arrow has gone further than I ever thought possible. Over the past 6 years, I grew my team, started a podcast, expanded my photography and opened a shop to help entrepreneurs. All while still serving my amazing couples during the biggest days of their lives, and giving back to the community. As I look back on some of my goals from previous years, I realize just how crazy this journey has been. Like as with so many, this past year has been the most intense test my business has faced yet. But even though 2020 had more than its fair share of lows, I wanted to bring more gratitude into this new year by looking back on some of the highlights for Feathered Arrow Events:
Love Is Not Cancelled
If there’s one big lesson I took away from this past year it’s that nothing can stop love. I’m so lucky to work with such amazing couples who were patient with the uncertainties of this past year. Some postponed their bigger parties to later dates, but we were still able to celebrate safely with smaller events. I began offering micro wedding and elopement packages as part of my services, and in January we had a micro wedding at the 1909 before the pandemic even began! Who knew that it would be the big wedding trend of the year? Check out some of these other parties where our couples said, “I Do”.

We also celebrated Jess, a very special team member of Feathered Arrow, tying the knot! Stay tuned for that stunner of a wedding because it is so so good!
Defining My Mission + Core Values
This past year was not just about growing in my business, but also growing as a person. I’ve always been someone who stands firm in being open to working with all people, no matter who you love. Additionally, I firmly believe in equality for all. This has been at the core of Feathered Arrow since the beginning, because it’s a core value of mine as an individual. My team and I frequently discussed how we can further support BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities and we’ve been committed to continuing our education with resources, and promoting products/services of these community members. I will also continue donating proceeds to meaningful causes. I added these and other core values to my homepage that you can see here. (You can also learn more about how to define your core values + mission by listening to my podcast episode with Crystal Lily!) It was a tough year for so many, but I believe in the goodness of people and that together, we can conquer anything and change things for the better.
I feel so lucky to have this job and to help celebrate love for anyone! Thank you to all of my amazing couples, friends, vendor-friends + family for your support this past year! I know it was a doozy, but I’m looking forward to brighter days filled with hugs, celebrations + lots of epic parties!
