Welcome back, friends! I’m so excited to share this blue hued wedding at one of our best kept secret venues: The 1909. We love the 1909 because it’s one of those venues that completely transports you. Tucked into the Topanga Canyon, you won’t believe you’re just a short drive away from the bustle of the city. We’ve been fortunate to spend a few weddings here (like this forest inspired wedding) so when my clients, Grant and Erin chose this space to exchange their vows, we were ecstatic to return.

The 1909 is surrounded by lush greenery making it the perfect space to bring your wedding vision to life. Grant and Erin wanted to learn into the nature with their décor. Using a mix of blues, purple and green, we let the color palette create the impact while keeping the remaining décor minimal. The showstopper was the ceremony arch that was bursting with flowers! We matched the blues in small floral arrangements and white taper candles at each table. Additionally, Erin’s bridesmaids chose mixed styles of dresses in shades of greens and florals. While Grant and his groomsmen complemented with blue suits.

Lastly, Grant and Erin used a mix of photography styles to capture their big day, which I absolutely love! By toggling between digital and film, it created an almost ethereal vibe to the wedding day. (To find out which photography style is right for you, check out this blog post!)
