A beautiful vineyard wedding with a hint of vintage elegance
The classic vineyard wedding of Amanda + Calvin was a very special wedding to me for a few reasons. Not only because I am obsessed with how the design turned out but also because it was one of my last big weddings at Triunfo Creek Vineyards. As a venue, they’re moving in a different direction this year, so they are no longer accepting private events. I’ve had so many amazing events at Triunfo Creek (like this romantic royal themed wedding, or this colorful celebration), it’s sad to say goodbye but I’m excited for their new adventures as a venue!
You Can Never Go Wrong With Green + White
One of my favorite things about Triunfo Creek Vineyards, is just how stunning of a space it is. You really don’t need to do much in the way of décor, if you don’t want to. Amanda + Calvin decided to really play up the nature of the venue and simply add greenery with soft white florals everywhere. While Amanda + Calvin opted out of a ceremonial arch, Laura of Poppyhill Flowers created this insanely beautiful floral arch for Amanda to walk through for the processional. It was a show stopper and a refreshing way to use the space! The bridesmaids all wore flattering mix-matched dresses in sage green, and the groomsmen wore the ever elegant all black suits.
Is it just me, or does Amanda’s dress remind anyone of Meghan Markle’s wedding dress? I love the long sleeve wedding dress trend. It’s beyond elegant and looks great on everyone! (for more long sleeve wedding dress ideas, check out this beautiful bride at the Ace Hotel)
Keeping The Tradition
Something I really admired about Amanda + Calvin was how important certain traditions were to them. I’m a firm believer that your wedding day should be what you want, tradition or not. However, there is something so sweet about Amanda’s choice to do a first-look with her dad only. Amanda + Calvin wanted to have a moment together but not see each other before the ceremony, so they exchanged their personal vows to each while Calvin’s back was turned to Amanda. It was a really cool moment to witness with no videos or cameras around for it. So when Amanda walked down the aisle, it was a complete surprise to Calvin (and his emotions show it!)
At the end of the night, Amanda + Calvin drove off in a vintage get-away car to top off a truly classic vineyard wedding! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and thank you for making one of my last weddings at Triunfo Creek Vineyards one of the books!
