Some Of Our Favorite Wedding Venues in DTLA
I’ve listed a few of the most unique venues spaces in Los Angeles in this blog post, but Los Angeles is just such a big city with so many different pockets that I wanted to do a series where I feature venues in different parts of LA. Because honestly, there are just too many good ones for one blog post. Which gave me the idea to do a breakdown of some of my favorite downtown LA (aka DTLA) wedding venues!
The Unique Space

I have so much love for DTLA wedding venues, but one that always sticks out to me is The Unique Space. We’ve been fortunate enough to be some-what of regulars there with this bright wedding, this wedding and this sangeet! We even did a sweet-themed styled shoot on the roof. What can I say? We’re big fans of that breathtaking city view from the top.
Carondelet House
Talk about a hidden gem! From the painted chapel style ceilings to a transitional courtyard featuring a tree, Carondelet House is one of the most unique spaces available. Truthfully, you may even drive by it without realizing it holds so much beauty and history. There a ton of different areas that allow for easy transitions from ceremony, to cocktail to reception and beyond.
Hotel Figueroa
You may remember my tour of Hotel Figueroa from a few years ago, but I still can’t get over how incredible the renovation is on this space. There are a few different event spaces available depending on the vibe you want but the best part is having all of your guests under one roof. This is a great option for weddings with a lot of out-of-towners. (Also, the beautiful painted mural on the side can be major inspiration, like one couple who asked baker Nicole Bakes Cake to copy it on their cake! So fun!)
Red Bird/Vibiana
If you haven’t visited the elegant Vibiana (or dined at Red Bird), I highly recommend this stunning DTLA cathedral. It offers both indoor and outdoor spaces for ceremony, cocktail and reception and is absolutely decadent. Sky scraping columns, a jaw-dropping altar and evening city views make this space a must-see.
Union Station

All aboard lovers! Union Station is a working train station in DTLA that moonlights as a wedding + events venue. I had the pleasure of helping my clients, Lua + Chetan, tie the knot here and to this day, it was one of my favorite weddings. Union Station is an art deco dream come true with both outdoor and indoor space.
Hubble Studio

Would you believe me if I told you Hubble Studio is actually a photo studio? My clients, Ashley + Raul, found this space and knew it would be perfect for their minimalist wedding. They couldn’t have been more right. We were able to park multiple food trucks in the parking lot to give guests a fun + unique reception dinner, instead of the predictable buffet.
HNYPT
If you want a venue with a blank slate to design your wedding, HNYPT (Honeypot) is it! This industrial loft offers white washed brick walls and white ceiling trellis’ that are begging for some incredible floral hanging installations. I love that this offers a built-in indoor rain plan without committing to whatever carpet choice a hotel ballroom has.
The Grass Room/Valentine/Flora Chang

If you are passionate about your plants + greenery, then The Grass Room is the spot for you. The Grass Room is part of the Marvimon event space group with other venues spread around LA (details on others in upcoming posts!). It’s next to its sister venue, Valentine and across from another DTLA venue space, Flora Chang. There is so much history here and I absolutely love the way they’ve incorporated it into the design. Check out what I mean with this colorful wedding we did there!
You can also see some more of my favorite wedding venues around Southern California in this blog post! Looking for venues outside of LA? I have guides to venues around Joshua Tree + Palm Springs here.
Also friends, if you’re wondering about all the questions you need to ask your potential venue, do not fret! I have a FREE downloadable guide that you can get here!
